Welcome to Silver Valley violins. I have been in love with violins all my life and making them is a culmination of my passion. I strive to make the best instruments possible: ones that are not only superior sounding, but also bringing aesthetic pleasure.

My violin making technique is inspired by one of the best luthiers in the world, Davide Sora. I use the classical European wood but also proudly and successfully experiment with local Australian timbers such as Queensland Ebony, Gidgee and Queensland maple. I also devised my own spirit/shellack based varnish which includes local tree resins with great success. I want my instruments to be of the best quality so every attention is given to the smallest detail.

My violins come with a unique fine tuner on the E string. The tuner I designed is of aluminium/titanium construction and is the lightest in the world, yet the elevation of the E string remains same as the rest of the strings.
